Don't you love it when boys do things right? Albeit rare, when a boy does something cute- you can just feel your heart melt and knees go weak. I've decided to dedicate this post to boys and they're successes. Why? Well, sometimes you gotta give a man a little bit of credit ;)
Here are the top ten things that boys do RIGHT that make our hearts melt like little Hershey kisses.
10. Random Hugs. It goes without saying that boys are..well..a little too sexually driven. Ladies, we've all had our days when we're just not in the mood for hanky panky business. I find it amazing when a boy gives you a hug and just lets go and wants nothing more than that. sigh. less work for me :)
9. Cologne. Oh lord I want to start a religion worshiping the person who created Axe. Boys' cologne is made to mimic testosterone..make sense now? I love it when boys smell manly as opposed to their usually stank that oddly resembles the stench in my garage.
8. Hey Beautiful. In today's modern world, words like sexy, shawty, hot mamma and the likes have taken over the male dictionary. Who gets called beautiful anymore? Of course, this is only awesome when it happens rarely. So boys, keep those spontaneous hey beautifuls coming and remind your lady why you're with her!
7. Don't you be talking no $H!T about my MOMMA! Don't you just love it when guys respect your mom? When they ask you how she's doing? When they politely shake her hand? when they dress up just for her? It shows that they have respect. and what's even better? When they respect their own mothers. I find it so amazing when a guy has love and respect for his mother and calls her multiple times a day. The woman carried you around in her uterus for 9 months and has basically kept you alive your entire life with food and love. Give her a call. Just holla once ;)
8. R-E-S-P-E-C-T. the last one leads into this one. A boy who holds open a door, lets you take his seat, lets you go first is almost guaranteed to be a good one. I know that the rules of feminism(which I am a strong proponent of) clash directly with this thought- but come on. I'll open the door for myself most of the time to "balance out the power/blah di blah" but a little old school chivalry never hurts. If you're respectful to random woman- chance is you're going to be resepectful for your lady. It's a test!
7.Stand Your Ground. "Your friends they're jerks when you act like them just know it hurts..." Sing it Miley Cyrus. I love it when boys stand up to their friends for whats right. People give girls crap about insecurity- but honestly I think guys can be just as insecure in making decisions. I think they suffer from peer pressure more than we do. So men, when you stand your ground- say no to a drink, shrug it off when your guys tease you about your relationship, or say no to a night out doing something sketch... we really do appreciate it.
6. Sacrifice. now boys don't do this all the time...but....we really really love it when you let us have the last cookie now and then. or even better- when we split it :)
5. protect me. As a strong independent woman, I know I can take care of myself. Now and then however, I really am flattered when you put your arm around me when we walk around at night, or when you give other boys who are checking me out the dirty eye. Or when you walk behind me with your arms out just in case I slip and fall.
4. Listen. when you listen to us cry, or yell or scream..we really do appreciate it. In retrospect we may realize you're freaking out and weirded out. But really, we need you. And when you do sit there and just take it all in and remind yourself over and over again why you love us- we're sitting there wondering why we're so lucky to have you.
3. SUIT UP. ok so your bball shorts, jeans and whatevers are awesome. We love seeing you lounging around, just chilling. But when you suit up. Oh. My. GOD. men in suits>chocolate. yea. I went there. Legen...wait for it...DARY.
2. Be a Kid. girls love to goof off. And when her MANLY MAN has the balls to be a little kid- she's reminded of why he's so awesome. Boys being a kid now and then is FUN. and we LOVE fun. :)
1. BEE YOURSELF. this is the most important one. To me especially. Just be yourself. Play a video game or two, go watch a game, do what makes YOU happy. This little romantic things are extremely annoying (mind you i left off serenading and dress like jay sean to avoid problems), but we appreciate them in small doses. We'll let you spend a night out with the guys if you give us a twirly hug or whisper in our ears. We just want you to be the guy you are because honestly...that's why we like you so much. Give us your cute little grin. Talk in a sexy voice. Idk. Just be yourself and that's all we need! :)
